Champagne, Lunch, Art

The people I paint with are called the Monday Group at the local museum. The director requested we create paintings for a champagne luncheon the museum prepares to raise money for a summer children’s art camp. One of the ladies was playing with painting a Modigliani, at the time, for fun. We all decided to copy some of the artist paintings to fulfill his request. He auctioned the painting off. It turned out that we were major contributors because people paid good money for the copied works.
